Zydus Lifesciences has received USFDA approval for Diltiazem Hydrochloride tablets in various strengths. The drug is used to manage chronic stable angina and coronary artery spasm. It works by relaxing blood vessels, reducing heart workload and increasing oxygen supply. The tablets will be produced at the company's Baddi plant in Himachal Pradesh. Annual US sales of the drug were USD 13.9 million as per IQVIA data.
