Rural India's Bank Credit Share Rises

Sebi Tightens Rules for Market Infrastructure Audit Committees

RBI Buys Fewer Bonds in First FY26 Auction
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) accepted ₹19,203 crore in bids at its first FY26 OMO auction, falling short of the ₹25,000 crore notified amount, despite receiving bids totaling ₹50,369 crore. Government bonds maturing between 2029 and 2036 were included in the auction. Banks have been selling bonds since 2025. The 10-year benchmark yield closed at 6.24% on Monday. Capital markets regulator introduced credit-rating based quota for anchor investors.
